VeWorld, the official self-custody wallet for the VeChain Thor blockchain, has announced a new integration with Transak, a leading fiat-to-crypto on-ramp provider. This collaboration brings Apple Pay support to VeWorld, streamlining the process for users to buy cryptocurrency using their iPhones or other Apple devices.
Previously, VeWorld users could manage their VeChain (VET) holdings and other VIP180 tokens on the VeChainThor blockchain. The wallet also offered features like fee delegation and integration with Ledger hardware wallets. However, purchasing crypto within the app required alternative methods.
The new integration with Transak addresses this by enabling Apple Pay as a payment option. This caters to a significant portion of VeWorld’s user base, considering Apple Pay boasts over 640 million users worldwide.
“Transak’s support for Apple Pay aligns perfectly with our goal of providing the most user-friendly experience possible,” said Fabio Fabbrucci, product manager at VeWorld. “This partnership is a significant step towards greater accessibility and convenience for our users.”
This move goes beyond just adding another payment method. By incorporating Transak, VeWorld expands its reach to a wider audience, particularly those who prefer the familiarity and security of Apple Pay for their digital transactions. Furthermore, VeWorld already offered Coinbase Pay as an option, demonstrating its commitment to providing diverse payment channels.
“Our collaboration with VeWorld demonstrates Transak’s commitment to providing seamless and secure on-ramp solutions for leading blockchain ecosystems,” said Sami Start, co-founder and CEO of Transak. With this integration, VeWorld users have more flexibility when purchasing crypto, including utilizing traditional payment methods through Apple Pay.
This partnership is expected to benefit the VeChain ecosystem as a whole. Increased accessibility through user-friendly payment options like Apple Pay can contribute to VeChain’s growth by attracting new users to the platform, according to Start.
Transak’s reach extends beyond Apple Pay. Their Web3 payments infrastructure currently serves over 5 million users globally and supports transactions in more than 160 countries. This integration with VeWorld makes the crypto purchase process smoother, not just for Apple users, but for a wider audience seeking a convenient on-ramp into the VeChainThor blockchain. VeWorld users can leverage Transak’s services through the VeWorld iOS and Android apps, as well as desktop browser extensions.
By integrating Apple Pay and expanding payment options through Transak, VeWorld is taking a significant step towards a more user-friendly and accessible experience for its cryptocurrency users. This move has the potential to further propel the growth of the VeChainThor blockchain.
