Binance Founder CZ Reveals Cryptocurrency Holdings: BNB, BTC, and the Enigmatic EURI

**CZ Shares His Crypto Portfolio: 98.5% in BNB, Minimal BTC and Stablecoins; Dismisses Binance Sale Rumors as Misinformation**

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, the co-founder and former CEO of Binance, recently opened up about his cryptocurrency holdings on Binance Square, revealing that a staggering 98.5% of his portfolio is in Binance Coin (BNB). His Bitcoin (BTC) allocation is a modest 1.32%, while he holds small amounts of stablecoins, with EURI at 0.17% and USDT at 0.03%. Interestingly, he also mentioned an asset called sBTC, a wrapped Bitcoin on the Stacks network, but admitted he has no idea where it came from. This disclosure was prompted by a challenge from a user on X to share his trader profile, which led to conversations about his relatively low Bitcoin investment.

**BNB Takes Center Stage in Zhao’s Portfolio**

Zhao’s cryptocurrency holdings clearly show a strong preference for Binance Coin (BNB), the native token of the exchange he helped create. His portfolio breakdown, shared on Binance Square, indicates that nearly all of his assets are tied up in BNB. This minimal allocation in Bitcoin has raised eyebrows in the crypto community, leading to questions from users on X. In response, Zhao downplayed the concern, humorously stating, “I’m a boring guy.”

In addition to BNB and BTC, Zhao holds small quantities of stablecoins, including 0.17% in EURI and 0.03% in USDT. The inclusion of EURI, a lesser-known euro-pegged stablecoin, piqued interest. When asked about it, Zhao speculated it might be related to an old feature of the Binance Card but acknowledged he wasn’t sure about its origins. It’s worth noting that a third-party verification of his portfolio is not available, as assets on centralized exchanges are not publicly accessible.

**The Mystery of sBTC and Zhao’s Crypto Holdings**

One surprising element in Zhao’s portfolio is his small stake in sBTC, a wrapped Bitcoin used on the Stacks network. He confessed he doesn’t know how it ended up in his holdings and suggested it might be from an old fork or an airdrop that has since been delisted. This portfolio disclosure comes on the heels of recent buzz surrounding his dog’s name, Broccoli, which sparked a wave of themed memecoins, reminiscent of the earlier TST tokens created as a BEP-20 tutorial asset before Binance’s listing. However, Zhao clarified that he does not own TST or any Broccoli-themed tokens. On-chain data from Arkham indicates that one of his wallets contains 862,773 BNB valued at around $553,400, along with 10.143 million BROCCOLI tokens worth approximately $547,770, among other minor token holdings.

**CZ’s Influence, Net Worth, and Binance Sale Speculation**

Speculation about Binance’s future has resurfaced recently, fueled by rumors that the exchange might be up for sale. Zhao has firmly denied these claims, labeling them as competitor-driven misinformation.
