In 2018, Stephen Tse established Harmony with the goal of creating a quick, safe, and decentralized blockchain that would facilitate decentralized applications. Despite encountering significant hurdles such as a $100 million hack and internal disputes, Stephen remains committed to driving innovation and expanding the community. Originally from Hong Kong, Stephen Tse is the forward-thinking founder of Harmony. In 1997, his family relocated to Vancouver, Canada. Following a double major in computer science and mathematics, he earned a Ph.D. in security protocols at the University of Pennsylvania.
