A well-known X account has revealed that the XRP ETF applications submitted by Bitwise, 21Shares, Grayscale, and Canary may receive approval between May 18 and 22. Additionally, applications from ProShares, Volatility Shares, and Franklin Templeton are anticipated to be approved in the October to December 2025 timeframe. In a recent update, CNF covered the latest developments regarding the conclusion of the Ripple vs SEC lawsuit. This has heightened expectations regarding the potential approval of different spot XRP Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). In order to clarify the ongoing speculation, an X account named “All Things XRP” has compiled a thread that outlines the important information related to the nine ETF applications, their present status, and the projected decision dates from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The thread begins with details about the Bitwise XRP ETF, which was submitted on October 2, 2024, marking it as one of the earliest applications processed by the SEC. On February 24, 2025, the regulator issued a receipt acknowledgment. As it is the most advanced in the process, the final verdict is anticipated to occur on May 18, 2025. In a similar vein, the Canary Capital XRP ETF, submitted on October 8, 2024, and recognized on February 19, 2025, is expected to receive its official determination on May 22, 2025. The third application noted by “All Things XRP” is the 2011Shares Core XRP Trust. As stated in the post, this was submitted on November 1, 2024. The SEC recognized the filing after those of Canary Capital and Bitwise on February 14, with a ruling anticipated by May 27, 2025. Additionally, there are anticipated timelines for decisions regarding the XRP ETF. The Grayscale XRP Trust Conversion was the fourth item on the list.
