Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) hotly anticipated play-to-earn (P2E) game, Shiba Eternity, is generating excitement within the SHIB community. Marketing lead Lucie recently highlighted the game’s significance, stating it will be a major milestone for the Shibarium blockchain and its ecosystem tokens, SHIB and BONE.
Lucie’s tweet included a glimpse of Shiba Eternity’s gameplay, further amplifying anticipation. The mobile-based game is currently undergoing development for a seamless transition to the Shibarium blockchain.
“Shiba Eternity will be our first game to run on Shibarium fully,” stated Shib Games lead Angel. “This game will be a big step forward,” underlining the project’s potential to revolutionize digital gaming and ownership within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Benefits for SHIB and BONE
Beyond gameplay, Shiba Eternity boasts features designed to benefit the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s tokens. Every transaction on Shibarium will utilize BONE, the blockchain’s official gas fee token. This translates to the burning of SHIB tokens, a mechanism employed by Shibarium to reduce overall SHIB supply. Additionally, Lucie hinted at future advantages for other Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens.
For those unfamiliar, BONE functions similarly to gas in Ethereum, powering transactions across Shibarium-based projects, including the upcoming Web3 version of Shiba Eternity. Notably, Shibarium burns a portion of SHIB from transaction fees, fostering a potential deflationary effect on the token.
NFTs and a Revamped Experience
Shiba Eternity’s cards will morph into tradable NFTs upon integration with Shibarium. These unique tokens will be stored in blockchain wallets and traded on the forthcoming Shib marketplace, potentially increasing their value and appeal to collectors.
The Web3 version of Shiba Eternity promises an enhanced experience with a revamped interface, a reworked reward system, and a fresh tournament format.
Early Access for LEASH Holders
The launch of Shiba Eternity is inching closer. The closed-beta testing for the Web3 version is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024. Notably, access will be limited to community members who have staked LEASH tokens, a Shiba Inu ecosystem token, or possess specific NFTs. Loyal players transitioning from the current mobile version will receive a special welcome gift pack, Lucie confirmed.
