Shiba Inu DAO: How LEASH Holders Will Influence Fairness and Transparency in the SHIB Ecosystem

The leader of the Shiba Inu development team, the enigmatic Shytoshi Kusama, has finally shed light on the crucial role LEASH token holders will play in the upcoming Shiba Inu Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). This news comes as the team gears up for the much-anticipated launch of the DAO, a significant step towards decentralizing the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

Kusama, known for their pseudonymity, took to platform X to address the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community. Their message emphasized the vital role LEASH token holders will assume within the DAO structure. LEASH, unlike SHIB and BONE tokens, will empower holders to directly influence matters of fairness and transparency within the SHIB community.

Kusama described LEASH holders as “a class of moderators” tasked with maintaining order and protecting the DAO system. Additionally, they will have the power to vote on disputes that may arise. This specific function aligns with the broader aim of the SHIB State’s “proprietary protocols,” which Kusama claims exist to “protect the Shibizens,” mirroring the role envisioned for the DAO.

The leader’s explanation seeks to clarify the previously released SHIB Paper, which some community members may have found confusing.

This news follows a tweet by another prominent Shiba Inu team member, the equally pseudonymous Lucie. Published on Sunday, Lucie’s message confirmed the imminent rollout of the DAO. She explained that the DAO will further decentralize the SHIB ecosystem by granting voting rights to all holders of tokens within the Shiba Inu universe. SHIB holders will have a say in the project’s future development through votes on charitable endeavors, donations, and initiatives that promote the SHIB community’s values. BONE holders will weigh in on matters related to the development of the SHIB ecosystem itself and the Education and Research Council.

Lucie’s announcement regarding the DAO launch also carries significant weight in the wake of the recent arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France. Durov’s detainment was a consequence of Telegram’s refusal to comply with French law enforcement’s demands for content censorship. Lucie’s timing highlights how the DAO embodies the vision of a decentralized internet and unfettered expression.

With the launch of the DAO and the specific role assigned to LEASH holders, the Shiba Inu project embarks on a new chapter, empowering its community to shape its future and prioritize fairness within its digital realm.
