The founder of Cardano has declared that ADA and XRP have attained ‘blue chip’ recognition, while Solana has not received the same distinction.

In a recent podcast interview, Charles Hoskinson shared his positive outlook on ADA and XRP, labeling them as reliable, blue-chip cryptocurrencies for long-term stability. This statement follows Donald Trump’s announcement that Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano will be included in the nation’s crypto reserves. Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, reignited discussions within the crypto community by endorsing Cardano and Ripple’s XRP as solid investments, while he categorized Solana as less impressive. These comments were made during his conversation with David Gokhshtein on the Gokhshtein Podcast, which addressed the selection of major cryptocurrencies for the U.S. national reserve. Trump, currently in his role as the 47th President of the United States, announced the addition of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA) to the nation’s cryptocurrency reserve. Hoskinson has expressed support for both ADA and XRP. He mentioned that Cardano and XRP are likely to perform strongly due to their long-standing presence in the top 10, highlighting their stability and trustworthiness. He commended Cardano for its resilience in facing difficulties, noting previous problems with the Cardano Foundation, market downturns, and regulatory ambiguities. “We have experienced every possible situation,” he remarked. Hoskinson strongly asserts that ADA and XRP have proven themselves as leading cryptocurrencies, positioning them as prime contenders for inclusion in the U.S. crypto reserve. “He mentioned that it’s a highly secure blue-chip cryptocurrency, and XRP is included in that category too.” This support follows the collaboration between Cardano and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) aimed at improving seamless interoperability. Recently, the two networks introduced a new blockchain bridge, made possible by Wanchain, which enables users to move ADA and XRP between their networks. While praising both ADA and XRP, Hoskinson didn’t extend the same acknowledgment to SOL, describing it as “mid,” which is slang for something that is neither outstanding nor poor, but rather just mediocre.
