The Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem is preparing to expand beyond decentralized finance and blockchain infrastructure with a new suite of AI-native enterprise software. DFINITY Foundation has revealed that its upcoming ICP Cloud Engines will include a collection of on-chain business applications designed to help organizations manage everyday operations directly on blockchain infrastructure.
According to DFINITY, the platform will offer tools covering accounting, human resources, customer relationship management (CRM), email, and other business functions. Internet Computer community member Dominic Williams also said the launch will include Open SaaS Packs, describing them as a collection of more than a dozen on-chain services that businesses can deploy for free.
ICP Cloud Engines Aim to Simplify Enterprise Software
The upcoming Cloud Engines are designed to make blockchain-powered enterprise software easier to adopt. Rather than requiring businesses to build decentralized applications from scratch, users will be able to install ready-made software packages with a setup process that Williams says will be as simple as installing a mobile application.
The software is also expected to be highly customizable. DFINITY says businesses will be able to tailor each application to meet their own operational requirements instead of relying on fixed software configurations.
Among the announced services are accounting tools, HR management systems, CRM platforms, and email applications. Together, these products are intended to provide organizations with much of the software needed to operate daily business activities while running directly on Internet Computer’s decentralized infrastructure.

Williams added that the applications are “AI native,” suggesting they are being designed to integrate artificial intelligence capabilities from the outset rather than adding them as separate features later.
Another notable characteristic is their remixable architecture. Developers are expected to modify, extend, and combine individual services into customized workflows, allowing organizations to build business systems that match their own requirements while remaining fully on-chain.
Enterprise Adoption Becomes a Larger Focus for Internet Computer
The announcement reflects Internet Computer’s growing focus on enterprise software rather than concentrating solely on cryptocurrency applications. By providing blockchain-hosted business tools, DFINITY aims to demonstrate that decentralized infrastructure can support real-world organizational workloads beyond token transfers and decentralized finance.
Running enterprise applications directly on-chain may offer several advantages, including transparent recordkeeping, improved security, simplified software deployment, and reduced dependence on centralized cloud providers. Organizations could also benefit from applications that integrate seamlessly with blockchain-based digital identities, payments, and smart contracts already available on Internet Computer.
