XRP Lands on Denny Crum Court
Ripple has signed a multi-year partnership with Louisville Athletics that will bring XRP branding to the University of Louisville’s men’s and women’s basketball programs beginning this season.
Under the agreement, the XRP logo will become a permanent fixture on Denny Crum Court during every Louisville home game. The branding will sit alongside the court’s existing tribute to legendary coach Denny Crum, whose insignia will remain inside the three-point arc.
The partnership extends beyond the basketball court. XRP branding will appear on TV-visible courtside signage and other promotional placements throughout the KFC Yum! Center, giving Ripple exposure during Louisville’s home schedule.
Louisville will also feature the partnership across its digital and social media platforms, as well as men’s and women’s basketball radio broadcasts. That gives XRP visibility across both the physical venue and the university’s wider media ecosystem.
The deal represents another step in Ripple’s effort to build mainstream recognition for XRP in the United States. Rather than focusing solely on crypto-native audiences, the company is placing the XRP brand in front of a large college sports audience with a strong regional and national following.
Louisville’s athletics director Josh Heird said Ripple specifically wanted to work with established basketball brands. The university said the agreement allows it to pursue a new commercial partnership while maintaining the history associated with Denny Crum Court.
Ripple Adds Education to XRP Partnership
The deal also includes an educational component. Ripple will support financial and technology education for Louisville student-athletes and members of the wider campus community, covering both traditional finance and digital assets.
That element gives the partnership a broader purpose than advertising alone. Students and athletes will have an opportunity to learn about financial systems, digital assets and emerging technologies as part of Ripple’s involvement with the university.
For Ripple, college athletics offers a different route to building familiarity with the XRP brand. Basketball has a large and highly engaged U.S. audience, while Louisville has a particularly strong basketball identity and a long history in the sport.
The agreement also highlights how crypto companies are increasingly using traditional sports properties to reach consumers. Ripple has already pursued high-profile sports partnerships, and the Louisville deal expands that strategy into college athletics.
Importantly, the partnership does not mean Louisville is adopting XRP as a payment system or that fans are being given XRP through the agreement. It is primarily a commercial branding and education partnership between Ripple and Louisville Athletics.

That distinction matters for XRP investors. The deal increases the cryptocurrency’s visibility, but brand exposure alone does not create direct demand for the token or guarantee an impact on its price.
The longer-term value will depend on whether Ripple can turn mainstream recognition into greater understanding and adoption of its broader digital-asset ecosystem. The educational programme could help that effort by introducing students to both traditional finance and blockchain-based financial systems.
For now, the most visible change will come every time Louisville’s men’s and women’s basketball teams take the court. The XRP logo will sit on Denny Crum Court throughout the season, placing one of crypto’s largest digital assets directly inside a major American college sports environment.
The Louisville partnership therefore gives Ripple another mainstream platform while keeping XRP at the center of the company’s branding strategy. It is not a new XRP utility deployment, but it is a notable expansion of the token’s presence in U.S. sports and an opportunity for Ripple to connect digital-asset education with one of college basketball’s established programs.
