Greywick Digital and Litecoin Foundation Partner to Bring cLTC to the Canton Network

Litecoin

Greywick Digital, with official endorsement from the Litecoin Foundation, has announced plans to issue cLTC—a institutional-grade representation of Litecoin—on the Canton Network.

The integration aims to bring one of cryptocurrency’s longest-running assets into regulated institutional settlement, collateral management, and yield-bearing financial workflows.

Bridging Legacy Crypto with Institutional Infrastructure

The Canton Network serves as a privacy-enabled, interoperable blockchain network designed specifically for institutional financial participants, counting global powerhouses such as the DTCC, Goldman Sachs, and BNP Paribas among its ecosystem participants.

Through this partnership, cLTC will act as a bridge connecting Litecoin’s deep liquidity and decade-plus operational history with enterprise-grade capital markets.

Key pillars of the cLTC deployment include:

  • Public Proof of Reserves: Every unit of cLTC issued on Canton will be backed 1:1 by underlying LTC reserves stored in verified public addresses.
  • Continuous Independent Attestation: The asset framework incorporates real-time verification and third-party audit standards to meet institutional compliance requirements.
  • Institutional Yield & Settlement Workflows: Institutional traders and asset managers will be able to utilize cLTC within institutional lending, margin, and collateralized financial products operating on Canton.

Deployment Timeline and Next Steps

The cLTC token is currently undergoing testing on a live testnet environment.

According to Greywick Digital and the Canton Network, the mainnet launch sequence is scheduled to go live by the end of 2026, following the public release of official reserve address specifications, compliance attestation formats, and final protocol integration guidelines.
