5 Bullish Altcoins for the Next Crypto Bull Run: ONDO, AERO, HBAR, LTC and XRP

altcoins analysis

Which altcoins could outperform if the crypto market enters a sustained bull run? One investor’s shortlist highlights five altcoins with different investment narratives: real-world asset tokenization, decentralized exchange growth, enterprise blockchain adoption, digital scarcity and payments infrastructure. The picks are Ondo (ONDO), Aerodrome Finance (AERO), Hedera (HBAR), Litecoin (LTC) and XRP.

The bullish case rests on the possibility that rising liquidity and renewed investor appetite could push capital toward projects with established ecosystems or compelling narratives. However, the price targets and market-cap comparisons behind these picks are speculative scenarios, not guaranteed outcomes.

Five Altcoins With Different Bull-Run Catalysts

1. Ondo (ONDO): The real-world asset tokenization bet

ONDO is a bet on the tokenization of traditional financial assets, including U.S. Treasuries and other investment products. Ondo has established relationships involving BlackRock-related funds and other major asset managers, giving it a connection to the growing market for bringing traditional finance on-chain. However, describing ONDO as simply “backed by BlackRock” is misleading: BlackRock’s involvement in certain Ondo products does not mean it endorses or guarantees the ONDO token. <Cite refs={[“turn188049search3″,”turn188049search6”]}/>

The original thesis suggests that a fully diluted valuation of around $5 billion could leave room for substantial upside if tokenization expands. A $100 billion valuation would represent 20 times that starting figure, but reaching it would require enormous growth in demand, token value capture and investor confidence. Growth in tokenized assets does not automatically translate into equivalent gains for ONDO holders.

2. Aerodrome Finance (AERO): Betting on Base and decentralized trading

Aerodrome is a major decentralized exchange and liquidity hub for Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2 network. Its model directs trading fees and incentives toward liquidity providers and token holders who help coordinate liquidity. Aerodrome has also been expanding its reach, making cross-chain growth and sustained trading activity important factors for its future. <Cite refs={[“turn188049search1″,”turn188049search17”]}/>

The bullish comparison is with Uniswap (UNI), which reached a multibillion-dollar valuation during the 2021 market cycle. AERO reaching a $20 billion fully diluted valuation would imply roughly 10 times upside from a $2 billion starting valuation. That comparison is illustrative, though: the two protocols have different token economics, competitive conditions and supply dynamics.

3. Hedera (HBAR): Enterprise adoption and infrastructure

HBAR attracts investors who believe enterprise-focused blockchain infrastructure could gain traction in tokenization, payments, digital identity and other business applications. Hedera highlights its institutional governance model and a broad ecosystem of integrations and partners. The investment question is whether this activity generates sustained network usage and meaningful demand for HBAR, rather than partnerships alone driving market enthusiasm. <Cite refs={[“turn188049search2″,”turn188049search5”]}/>

4. Litecoin (LTC): Scarcity and longevity

Litecoin remains one of crypto’s established networks, having launched in 2011. Its maximum supply is capped at 84 million LTC, and its issuance rate falls through scheduled mining reward halvings. Supporters see its longevity, relatively simple monetary policy and continued development as reasons it could attract renewed attention in a bull market. Scarcity, however, does not guarantee price appreciation without sufficient demand. <Cite refs={[“turn188049search12″,”turn188049search13”]}/>

5. XRP: Payments narrative or speculative momentum?

XRP has a large, established community and a narrative tied to Ripple’s efforts in cross-border payments and financial infrastructure. The original thesis frames XRP as either an unusually powerful speculative asset or a major long-term winner, with $4 as a near-term price aspiration. That target depends on market conditions, adoption, liquidity and investor expectations; a failure to reach it by a particular date would not, by itself, prove the investment thesis wrong.

What Would It Take for These Altcoins to Rally?

The common thread is narrative strength. Real-world asset tokenization could benefit ONDO, trading activity could support AERO, institutional use cases could help Hedera, and established brand recognition could favor LTC and XRP. During a broad rally, these narratives may attract capital, but each token has different risks and mechanisms for capturing economic value.

Valuation comparisons need particular care. Fully diluted market capitalization assumes all tokens are circulating at the current price, even when some supply may be released gradually. Token unlocks, emissions, competition and changes in demand can affect returns, so a projected 10x or 20x valuation should never be treated as a price forecast.

A genuine altcoin bull run would also depend on broader conditions, including Bitcoin’s direction, liquidity, investor risk appetite and the flow of capital into smaller assets. Even promising projects can fall sharply during market corrections, and a rising market does not guarantee that every popular token will outperform.

Ultimately, ONDO, AERO, HBAR, LTC and XRP offer five distinct ways to express a bullish view on crypto. Their upside cases depend on different catalysts, but none is assured. Investors evaluating the list should examine current valuations, token supply, real usage and downside risk rather than relying on ambitious market-cap targets alone.
