Chainlink Q3 Report: $36 Trillion in Transaction Value, $15 Billion Migrates to CCIP as LINK Reserve Climb

Chainlink Secures $85 Billion in Cross-Chain Value as CCIP Adoption Accelerates in Q3 2026

Chainlink Q3 report expands institutional adoption and cross-chain activity in its third-quarter 2026 review, highlighting more than $85 billion in total cross-chain token value secured by its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). The report, published on October 21, also said more than $15 billion in token value migrated to CCIP during 2026 as projects and institutions moved away from legacy bridging infrastructure.

The quarterly update covered developments across banking, tokenized securities, stablecoins, prediction markets and decentralized finance. Chainlink also reported that its total transaction value enabled (TVE) surpassed $36 trillion in the third quarter. These figures reflect the scale of activity associated with its infrastructure, although they should not be interpreted as revenue generated by the network or as a direct measure of LINK token demand.

Chainlink Expands CCIP Across Banks and Capital Markets

One of the quarter’s major announcements was Chainlink Fulcrum, an institutional financing and collateral management solution designed to operate across public and private blockchains. The system aims to separate where financing agreements are managed from the networks used to settle cash and collateral, potentially allowing financial institutions to coordinate transactions without being restricted to a single blockchain.

Chainlink also announced a solution connecting banks to Swift’s blockchain ledger. Using the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), financial institutions can orchestrate workflows between their own ledgers, including those supporting tokenized deposits, and Swift’s infrastructure. The proposed approach uses a self-signing model that allows institutions to retain control of transaction authorization keys.

Other capital markets developments involved the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Bottomline and Infosys. Chainlink said DTCC processed its first production trades of tokenized U.S. securities through a workflow involving more than 30 institutions. One example involved JPMorgan posting tokenized stock as collateral to meet margin requirements with CME Group.

Bottomline also partnered with Chainlink to connect its payment infrastructure to public and private blockchains, targeting more than 600 bank customers. Infosys entered a strategic partnership covering several Chainlink services, including CCIP, CRE, Proof of Reserve and data products. Together, these initiatives demonstrate how blockchain infrastructure is being developed for existing financial workflows rather than only for cryptocurrency-native applications.

CCIP adoption also expanded beyond traditional finance. BitGo migrated more than $7.7 billion in wrapped Bitcoin to the protocol, while the Wyoming Stable Token Commission moved its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) to CCIP as its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure. Chainlink reported that the migration of FRNT followed a security review, while Nethermind also moved its cross-chain infrastructure to Chainlink.

LINK Reserve Surpasses 6 Million as Adoption Broadens

Chainlink’s public-sector activity extended into reserve transparency and regulated tokenized securities. The Wyoming Stable Token Commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to publish verified reserve data on-chain. In Hong Kong, the Tokenized Securities Framework selected CCIP for cross-chain asset movement and the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) for policy enforcement and identity management.

The report also highlighted activity in prediction markets. Polymarket adopted Chainlink’s time-weighted average price Data Streams for its five- and 15-minute cryptocurrency markets, while LBank selected Chainlink infrastructure for high-speed prediction markets. These integrations target reliable market data and faster resolution and payout processes.

In the data sector, Coinbase selected Chainlink as the official oracle infrastructure for its tokenized stocks on Base. United Stables, Lighter and other platforms also adopted or expanded Chainlink services. These integrations show how data feeds and cross-chain tools can support tokenized assets, stablecoins and trading products across different blockchain environments.

Chainlink’s economic metrics also advanced during the quarter. Its Chainlink Reserve accumulated 1,543,330.47 LINK, taking total holdings to 6,047,498.3150 LINK. The reserve collects LINK using revenue from enterprise adoption and on-chain service usage. Meanwhile, Smart Value Recapture (SVR) surpassed $24.4 million in cumulative value recaptured from liquidations, with proceeds shared between participating DeFi protocols and the Chainlink Network.

The review also noted that LINK exchange-traded funds from Grayscale and Bitwise held a combined 16.65 million LINK at quarter-end, representing 2.24% of the token’s total market capitalization according to Chainlink’s figures. Charles Schwab was also preparing to add LINK to its crypto platform, according to the report.

Despite these developments, increased infrastructure adoption does not automatically translate into higher LINK prices. The token’s longer-term performance will depend on factors including actual service usage, the economic mechanisms connecting usage to LINK demand, market conditions and competition.

Chainlink’s third-quarter results point to a broader effort to connect traditional financial institutions with blockchain-based markets. With CCIP adoption growing and institutional projects progressing, the next measure of success will be whether these integrations generate sustained activity and recurring demand beyond initial launches.
