Ondo Finance Plans to Tokenize Anthropic Shares on the AI Company’s IPO Day

Ondo Finance is preparing to bring Anthropic’s stock exposure onchain from the artificial intelligence company’s first day of public trading. The announcement positions Anthropic as the latest major name targeted by Ondo Stocks, its platform for tokenized exposure to publicly traded securities. The move could give eligible international investors access to Anthropic through blockchain-based financial products without relying exclusively on traditional brokerage infrastructure.

Ondo announced the plan on November 6, describing Anthropic as a company that will be tokenized on day one of its initial public offering. The proposed launch will take place through Ondo Stocks, although the company has not provided a confirmed listing date or detailed launch timetable. Its announcement makes the offering conditional on Anthropic reaching the public market.

Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI models, filed its registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 26. The company intends to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. However, its final offering size and price range had not been determined in the initial filing, leaving the precise timing and valuation of the public debut subject to change.

The announcement is significant for tokenized equities because it extends blockchain-based access to one of the most closely watched companies in artificial intelligence. Anthropic has attracted substantial investor interest as demand for advanced AI models grows, making its planned IPO a major test for both traditional markets and platforms seeking to bring public securities onchain.

How Ondo Plans to Bring Anthropic Exposure Onchain

Ondo Stocks is designed to represent the economic performance of publicly traded securities through blockchain-based instruments. Its planned Anthropic offering would allow eligible investors to obtain exposure through tokens backed by corresponding underlying securities, rather than purchasing shares directly through a conventional brokerage account.

There is an important legal distinction, however. Under Ondo’s existing product structure, investors hold structured notes issued by Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited, not direct ownership of the underlying company’s shares. The notes are designed to be backed by the corresponding securities and cash in transit, with assets held through custodial arrangements. Tokenholders do not receive shareholder voting rights or direct rights to participate in corporate decisions.

This structure means that the product can track the economic value of Anthropic shares without making tokenholders shareholders of Anthropic. Investors would also need to consider the issuer, custody arrangements, redemption terms and legal rights attached to the notes. Tokenization changes how exposure is distributed and transferred, but it does not eliminate the risks associated with the underlying securities or the financial structure supporting the tokens.

Ondo’s broader strategy is to make newly listed U.S. companies accessible through blockchain infrastructure on the first day of trading. In February 2026, the company introduced Ondo Global Listing, a service intended to support tokenized IPO exposure across networks including Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain. The Anthropic announcement builds on that strategy by targeting a prominent AI company rather than an established public-market stock.

Anthropic IPO Could Test Demand for Tokenized Equities

Access will depend on jurisdiction and investor eligibility. Ondo’s existing product framework excludes U.S. persons and restricts participation in certain other jurisdictions. Some markets, including the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, require investors to meet professional-client or qualified-investor criteria. Identity verification and anti-money-laundering checks also apply to direct issuance and redemption.

The timing is particularly important because Anthropic’s IPO plans remain subject to market conditions. Reports on November 6 indicated that prospective investors were reassessing the company’s expected valuation following a wider technology-stock selloff. A change in the offering timetable or pricing could therefore affect when Ondo can deliver its proposed day-one product.

For the tokenized-equity market, the announcement highlights an increasingly direct connection between traditional capital markets and blockchain-based distribution. Instead of waiting for a company to become an established public stock, platforms such as Ondo are seeking to provide eligible investors with exposure as soon as a new listing begins trading.

The planned Anthropic launch will ultimately depend on the company’s IPO proceeding and Ondo completing the arrangements required to offer its structured notes. If successful, it would add another high-profile technology company to the growing range of traditional financial assets represented onchain, while testing whether investors see meaningful value in accessing IPO exposure through tokenized instruments.
