Pump.fun has introduced an expanded referral program that promises to distribute all revenue generated by its social trading app through user rewards. Announced on October 16, 2026, the initiative includes a limited-time 4x rewards boost, trading fee discounts for referred users and a $50 bonus for both parties when a referral deposits $50 through Apple Pay or fiat and trades. The move comes as the Solana-based platform looks to attract more users and increase activity across its trading ecosystem.
Pump.fun said it had spent nearly $20 million over two months on its existing Callout Rewards program. However, the company identified two limitations: users had little opportunity to benefit directly as the app grew, and the rewards pool was not guaranteed to expand beyond its reported average of approximately $300,000 per day. The new referral system is intended to connect user acquisition more directly with platform activity and revenue.
How Pump.fun’s New Referral Rewards Work
Under the updated program, users can earn rewards from trades made by people they refer. Referred traders also receive approximately 10% off fees, creating an incentive for both sides to participate. The platform is offering a $50 bonus to the referrer and another $50 to the new user when the referral deposits $50 through Apple Pay or fiat and completes a trade, subject to the program’s applicable conditions.
Pump.fun has also introduced a limited-time 4x boost, which it says allows 100% of the app’s platform revenue to flow back to users through the rewards system. Revenue not distributed directly through referrals is intended to go toward the Callout Rewards pool, on top of the $300,000 per day the company says it contributes. The announcement does not specify the boost’s end date, so users will need to check the official program terms for its duration and eligibility requirements.
The platform says its app now charges a 0.45% platform fee, which it describes as the lowest among social trading apps. Lower fees could make the service more attractive to frequent traders, particularly those who compare costs across competing platforms. However, the actual savings depend on trading volume, the assets traded and any other applicable network or transaction charges.
Users can access their referral codes and earnings through the Pump.fun app by opening Profile, then Rewards, followed by Referrals. The company says users are already enrolled in the referral system and can begin sharing a referral link that includes their Pump.fun username. As with any promotional scheme, participants should review the detailed conditions before relying on advertised bonuses.
Pump.fun Bets on Community Rewards to Drive Growth
The program marks a shift toward sharing more of the platform’s app revenue with its user base. Rather than relying only on promotional rewards, Pump.fun is linking referral earnings to trading activity generated by users’ networks. If the structure attracts new traders and encourages existing users to remain active, it could help the platform expand while strengthening its position in Solana’s competitive social trading market.
The strategy also carries risks. Rewards tied to deposits and trading may encourage users to trade more frequently than they otherwise would, while promotional bonuses can attract short-term participants who leave once incentives decline. Pump.fun’s pledge to return all platform revenue through rewards should therefore be evaluated against actual payouts, the program’s terms and how long the incentives remain available.
Pump.fun’s announcement arrives amid continued competition among Solana trading platforms, where fees, user acquisition and trading volume can influence market share. Its reported $20 million in recent Callout Rewards spending indicates a substantial commitment to incentives, but spending alone does not establish long-term user retention or sustainable profitability.
The key question is whether the expanded referral model can turn promotional participation into lasting engagement. For Pump.fun users, the potential benefits include referral income, reduced fees and additional rewards. For the platform, success will depend on whether the resulting activity can support a durable trading community after the temporary 4x boost ends.
