LUNC Price Prediction: Can Binance Burns and New Utility Spark a Major Rally?

Terra Classic is entering September with a familiar question facing its community: can LUNC become more than a token defined by its enormous supply and long-running burn campaign? Binance has now burned another 334.88 million LUNC from trading fees collected during August, bringing its cumulative burn to about 87.7 billion tokens. The latest reduction is meaningful for the community, although its impact on the overall supply remains relatively small.

The Binance burn remains one of the most closely watched recurring events surrounding LUNC. Rather than purchasing tokens specifically for destruction, the exchange burns LUNC using eligible trading fees, creating a mechanism tied to exchange activity.

That distinction matters because larger burns ultimately depend on sustained trading activity rather than a predetermined supply reduction.

Binance’s contribution is substantial, but the scale of the supply problem puts the numbers into perspective. Hundreds of billions of LUNC have been removed through community and exchange initiatives, yet trillions of tokens remain in circulation. This means burns alone are unlikely to create a dramatic repricing unless they are accompanied by substantially greater demand and economic activity.

LUNC Needs Development, Not Just Burns

That is precisely where the latest message from Juris Protocol founder Puya becomes relevant. In an open letter to the Terra Classic community, he argued that LUNC cannot recover by waiting for Binance or other outside parties to drive its revival. His central argument is that the remaining community capital and developer energy must be directed toward infrastructure such as lending, liquidity, bridges, developer tools and an on-chain economy.

The message represents an important shift in the LUNC conversation. Burns can reduce supply, but they do not automatically create reasons for people to use the network. A functioning economy requires applications that attract users, liquidity and transactions, which can potentially create organic demand for the underlying blockchain.

Juris Protocol is positioning itself around that thesis through decentralized lending and borrowing infrastructure. The project’s website describes its platform as combining decentralized finance with banking-style functionality, while its broader development has been connected to the Terra Classic ecosystem.

Project Flywheel is also being made L1-agnostic and an opt-in part of the Juris ecosystem, according to the recent community discussion. That decision could eventually broaden the project’s reach, but it also reinforces the challenge facing Terra Classic: developers need compelling reasons to build on LUNC rather than simply associating themselves with its community.

Another practical development is Guarda Wallet’s addition of native LUNC support. The integration allows users to store, send and receive LUNC through a non-custodial wallet while maintaining control of their private keys.

Wallet infrastructure may sound less dramatic than a large burn, but it is important for an ecosystem attempting to remain usable. Greater self-custody support can make it easier for holders to interact with LUNC outside centralized exchanges. The challenge is turning that improved accessibility into actual network activity.

Can LUNC Make a 6,838% Move?

At approximately $0.00005, the idea of LUNC returning to its previous highs sounds extraordinary. A 6,838% gain would transform a small speculative position into a much larger one, but percentage gains can be misleading when an asset starts from an extremely low price. More importantly, LUNC’s enormous circulating supply means that any return toward its former peak would require an enormous market capitalization.

For example, a move from $0.00005 to $0.001 would represent a 20-fold increase, while $0.01 would represent a 200-fold move. Reaching $0.10 would require approximately 2,000 times appreciation from $0.00005. These calculations illustrate why LUNC price targets must always be evaluated alongside circulating supply and resulting market capitalization.

The more realistic bullish progression is therefore likely to begin with smaller milestones. Holding the $0.00005 area, reclaiming $0.0001 and eventually breaking through $0.0002 would provide progressively stronger evidence that buyers are returning. A sustained move through those levels would matter more than a distant headline target.

The fundamental case also needs to evolve. Binance’s continued burns provide a deflationary mechanism, while Juris Protocol and other developers are attempting to build applications and infrastructure around Terra Classic. Guarda’s wallet integration adds another piece of basic ecosystem infrastructure, giving users another way to manage LUNC independently.

Still, LUNC faces one of the most difficult supply situations in the cryptocurrency market. Burns will need to continue for a very long time to materially change the supply picture, and development must generate genuine usage rather than simply new announcements. Without those two forces working together, even a strong speculative rally could prove temporary.

The most important change for LUNC may therefore be happening beneath the price chart. The community is increasingly being challenged to prove that Terra Classic can build an economy rather than depend on burns and exchange support. If developers deliver useful applications, liquidity returns and network activity grows while the supply gradually declines, LUNC could develop a stronger foundation for a future recovery. A return to the old highs remains an extreme scenario, but the path toward any meaningful revival starts with the same principle Puya highlighted: Terra Classic must build.
