IOTA Price Prediction: TWIN Expansion and $0.04 Support Put IOTA in Focus
IOTA is entering September with a combination of technical and fundamental developments that could give the network a stronger narrative heading into the final quarter of 2026. The project has increasingly moved away from being defined primarily as a general-purpose blockchain and toward digital infrastructure for global trade. Its TWIN initiative is central to that strategy, with deployments and partnerships spanning Africa and Europe.
The shift is significant because TWIN, or Trade Worldwide Information Network, is designed to digitize trade documents, identities, and supply-chain information across borders. IOTA says its engineering, research, design and product teams are now organized around scaling TWIN and global trade infrastructure. Its Q2 progress report also highlighted work with TradeMark Africa and continued development of trade corridors in Kenya and the United Kingdom.
TWIN Gives IOTA a Clearer Enterprise Strategy
Kenya remains particularly important to the story. IOTA’s Q1 update reported multi-node connectivity involving KenTrade, the Kenya Revenue Authority and TLIP community nodes. The same update highlighted IOTA’s involvement in the UK Digital Trade Testbed and its work around Teesside Port. These deployments provide a more concrete use case for the network than speculative applications alone.
The broader African opportunity is also expanding through ADAPT, an initiative led by the AfCFTA Secretariat alongside the Tony Blair Institute, World Economic Forum and IOTA Foundation. Kenya, Morocco and Nigeria were selected as the first countries for implementation, with digital identity, cross-border data exchange and payment interoperability among the targeted areas. If the infrastructure scales, IOTA could gain exposure to a large volume of real-world trade activity.

Technology is another part of the investment argument. IOTA’s Rebased architecture introduced Move-based smart contracts at the Layer 1 level and an object-oriented ledger model. The Foundation currently reports more than 50,000 transactions per second and average finality of roughly 400 milliseconds, although real-world network activity should always be distinguished from theoretical or benchmark capacity.
Move also gives developers a programming environment designed around assets and object ownership. That matters for applications involving tokenized assets, digital identities, trade documentation and other enterprise workflows where asset security is important. IOTA’s own business innovation materials identify Move-language contracts and the object-based ledger as core parts of its enterprise technology stack.
Can IOTA Hold the $0.04 Support Zone?
The market structure is giving traders another reason to watch IOTA. Historical data shows the token repeatedly traded around the $0.038-$0.040 region during the opening days of September before recovering above $0.04. On September 6, IOTA closed around $0.042, while September 7 trading pushed the price further above that level.
That makes the $0.04 area an important reference point rather than a confirmed long-term floor. A sustained move above it could strengthen the argument that buyers are absorbing supply, while a decisive breakdown would put the recent recovery under pressure. Traders should therefore watch both price and volume rather than treating one round-number level as definitive support.
Token supply events could add another layer of volatility. The market has recently had to absorb scheduled IOTA unlock activity, and price data shows that the token remained resilient around the $0.04 area afterward. Whether future unlocks create sustained selling pressure will depend on how recipients use or retain their tokens rather than the existence of an unlock alone.

Staking is another factor worth watching. IOTA’s current network design uses delegated proof-of-stake, while the Foundation lists staking as part of the Rebased economic model. A large amount of staked supply can reduce immediately liquid supply, but staking participation by itself does not guarantee higher prices or stronger demand.
The recent Switchboard-related disruption should also be viewed carefully. Problems affecting an oracle or individual decentralized applications are different from a failure of the underlying IOTA ledger. For long-term investors, the more important question is whether the network continues to maintain reliable consensus, developer activity and enterprise deployments as its trade strategy expands.
For IOTA holders, the bigger Q4 question is therefore not simply whether the token can move above $0.04. It is whether TWIN, ADAPT, digital identity and tokenization can translate into sustained network usage. IOTA has already established a clearer enterprise direction, with official updates showing progress in Kenya, the UK and broader African trade infrastructure.
A sustained move through higher resistance would strengthen the bullish technical case, while losing the $0.038-$0.040 region would weaken it. The fundamental case is similarly conditional: TWIN adoption must continue converting partnerships and pilots into measurable production activity. For the IOTA community, that combination of real-world adoption and price confirmation may be more important than any single short-term prediction.
