Bitcoin, Ethereum, BCH, Solana and USDC Lead Santiment’s Crypto Trends

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Solana and USD Coin are leading Santiment’s list of the most discussed crypto assets on Tuesday. The analytics platform said its social data showed elevated attention around the five assets, with different market developments driving the discussion around each one.

Bitcoin Leads the Tuesday Discussion

Bitcoin is at the center of the list, with Santiment pointing to several developments behind the increased social activity. These include reported institutional flows into spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, movement from an address that had been dormant since around 2012 and a strong weekly price move.

Santiment highlighted reported daily spot Bitcoin ETF inflows approaching $999 million as one of the major discussion points. ETF activity has become an important source of market attention because it provides a regulated investment channel for institutions and other investors.

Another event drawing attention was a transfer of 600 BTC from a wallet that had reportedly remained dormant for more than a decade. Movements from very old Bitcoin addresses frequently attract social discussion because traders monitor whether long-dormant holdings could eventually reach exchanges.

Bitcoin had also gained roughly 11% over the previous week according to the figures cited by Santiment, trading around the $85,000 to $86,000 area when the social trend was recorded. Technical traders were also discussing the cryptocurrency’s weekly close relative to its 50-week simple moving average.

Ethereum ranked second in Santiment’s Tuesday list. The discussion around ETH was less focused on one specific headline and more on its role as an investable digital asset and potential unit of account, according to the analytics platform.

Bitcoin Cash ranked third after CME Group announced plans to introduce cash-settled BCH futures. The proposed contracts include standard and Micro Bitcoin Cash futures, with a planned October 19 launch date subject to regulatory review. The development gives traders another regulated derivatives instrument for gaining exposure to BCH.

Solana was fourth on the list, with social activity centered on portfolio-allocation debates and trading research. Santiment noted that backtesting results and discussions about how SOL fits into cryptocurrency portfolios were contributing to the attention around the asset.

USDC Gains Attention From Binance-Circle Deal

USDC rounded out the five assets tracked by Santiment. Its appearance was largely connected to the announcement that Binance is making a $100 million strategic equity investment in Circle while renewing and expanding their commercial partnership for another five years.

The expanded agreement focuses on increasing USDC access across Binance’s global platform, particularly in emerging markets. Under the arrangement, Binance will focus on distribution while Circle continues providing infrastructure supporting the holding and use of USDC.

The deal adds another major distribution channel for the stablecoin. Circle says USDC is currently accessible through more than 500 million end-user wallet products, while the company says its reserves are designed to maintain one-to-one redemption with the U.S. dollar.

Binance has also been expanding its technical support for USDC across different networks. Earlier in September, the exchange completed USDC integration on the Arc network and opened deposits, providing another example of how the stablecoin is being distributed across multiple blockchain environments.

Taken together, Santiment’s list shows that social attention is being driven by several different types of events. Bitcoin is attracting discussion around ETF flows and market performance, Ethereum around its role as an asset, BCH around derivatives, Solana around portfolio positioning and USDC around a major corporate partnership.

The list should not be interpreted as a ranking of future price performance. Santiment’s trending data measures social attention, meaning an asset can move higher on the list because of news, debate, controversy or market activity without that attention necessarily translating into sustained adoption or price gains.

For traders and investors monitoring crypto sentiment, the five assets nevertheless provide a snapshot of the themes dominating social conversations on September 22. The developments range from institutional Bitcoin exposure and derivatives expansion to stablecoin distribution, demonstrating how different parts of the digital-asset market are competing for attention.
