Ethereum, XRP, and Chainlink have each reached significant adoption milestones after new on-chain data revealed record numbers of non-empty wallets and holding addresses. According to blockchain analytics platform Santiment, Ethereum has surpassed 200 million non-empty wallets for the first time, while the XRP Ledger and USDC on Ethereum have each crossed the 8 million wallet mark. Chainlink has also exceeded 900,000 wallet addresses holding LINK tokens.
The new figures highlight continued growth in user participation across some of the cryptocurrency market’s largest blockchain ecosystems. While price movements often dominate headlines, wallet growth is widely viewed as an important indicator of long-term network adoption and expanding participation.
Santiment noted that increasing wallet counts generally reflect stronger ecosystem engagement and growing confidence among both retail and institutional participants.
Ethereum Leads Adoption With 200 Million Wallet Milestone
Ethereum’s achievement of more than 200 million non-empty wallets represents another landmark for the world’s largest smart contract blockchain. The network continues to serve as the foundation for decentralized finance (DeFi), stablecoins, tokenized assets, NFTs, and thousands of decentralized applications.
The milestone reflects years of ecosystem expansion, with developers, businesses, and users continuing to build on Ethereum despite increasing competition from newer Layer-1 networks. Every non-empty wallet represents an address holding ETH or Ethereum-based assets, providing a broad measure of participation across the ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the XRP Ledger also reached an important adoption milestone by surpassing 8 million non-empty wallets. The growth comes as Ripple continues expanding institutional payment services, stablecoin initiatives, and XRP Ledger infrastructure aimed at supporting tokenization and cross-border financial applications.
USDC’s presence on Ethereum also crossed the 8 million wallet threshold, underlining the growing importance of regulated stablecoins within decentralized finance, payments, and digital asset markets.
Chainlink Growth Reflects Expanding Blockchain Infrastructure
Chainlink’s milestone of more than 900,000 LINK holding addresses demonstrates continued interest in one of the cryptocurrency industry’s leading decentralized oracle networks. Chainlink provides real-world market data, cross-chain interoperability, and infrastructure services that enable smart contracts to interact securely with external information.
Unlike speculative trading activity, growing holder counts often suggest broader ecosystem participation over longer periods. Increasing numbers of wallets can indicate that more investors, developers, institutions, and applications are interacting with blockchain networks, although wallet totals do not necessarily correspond to unique individual users since one person or organization may control multiple addresses.
For investors, wallet growth is frequently viewed alongside other on-chain indicators such as transaction volume, active addresses, staking participation, developer activity, and institutional adoption. Together, these metrics can provide a more complete picture of a blockchain network’s overall health than price action alone.
Although cryptocurrency markets remain volatile, the latest milestones suggest Ethereum, XRP, and Chainlink continue attracting new participants even during periods of market uncertainty. As blockchain adoption expands across decentralized finance, payments, tokenized assets, and enterprise applications, sustained wallet growth could reinforce the long-term investment case for these established digital asset ecosystems.
