XRP wallets holding at least 10 million tokens now control 46.87 billion XRP, equivalent to approximately 68.5% of the token’s supply, according to data shared by market intelligence platform Santiment. The reported concentration is the highest for this wallet group since November 2022, placing large holders back in focus as XRP trades near $1.29.
The data presents a contrast between XRP’s price performance and the behavior of its largest holders. While the token has struggled to gain ground around the $1.29 level, Santiment says wallets with at least 10 million XRP have continued increasing their exposure.
That divergence has attracted attention because whale balances can help analysts assess how major holders are positioning themselves during periods of market weakness. However, the figures alone do not establish why those wallets are accumulating or whether their activity will lead to a sustained price recovery.
XRP Whale Holdings Reach a Multi-Year High
Santiment’s figures suggest that large XRP wallets collectively hold a substantial share of the token’s supply. The 46.87 billion XRP balance represents approximately 68.5%, according to the post, marking the highest proportion held by this group since November 2022.
A rising share of supply among large wallets can reflect accumulation, but interpreting the trend requires care. Wallet addresses do not necessarily correspond to individual investors, and balances may include holdings managed by exchanges, custodians or other entities on behalf of multiple customers. Transfers between wallets can also affect concentration statistics without representing outright purchases or sales.
Even with those limitations, the reported trend provides a useful measure of how XRP holdings are distributed across major addresses. If large-wallet balances continue growing while prices remain under pressure, analysts may interpret the pattern as evidence that some significant holders are willing to maintain or expand exposure during market weakness.
Santiment linked this behavior to a possible bullish setup, suggesting that accumulation by large stakeholders could become more significant if smaller traders continue selling. That interpretation remains a market thesis rather than confirmation that XRP has established a price bottom.
For XRP holders, the distinction matters. Whale accumulation can support confidence in a recovery narrative, but concentrated ownership can also increase the importance of monitoring whether major wallets eventually reduce their balances. A reversal in large-holder behavior could alter the market picture just as quickly as continued accumulation could strengthen it.
XRP Traders Watch $1.20, $1.30 and $1.50
Santiment identified $1.30 as the immediate price level to watch, with $1.50 serving as a more significant confirmation threshold in its outlook. XRP was trading near $1.29 in the commentary, leaving the token close to the first level but still below the higher target.
The $1.20 area is another important reference point in the analysis. According to Santiment’s framework, holding above that level while whale balances remain elevated would keep the accumulation thesis intact. A move back above $1.50, accompanied by continued growth in large-wallet holdings, would provide stronger support for the recovery scenario.
Neither price level guarantees a particular outcome. XRP could remain range-bound, fall below $1.20 or reclaim $1.50 without establishing a lasting uptrend. Broader cryptocurrency market conditions, trading volume and changes in investor demand will also influence its direction.
The central takeaway is that XRP’s supply distribution is becoming an important part of the market discussion. Santiment’s data points to large wallets controlling their highest reported share of supply since late 2022, even as the token struggles near $1.29.
Whether that concentration precedes a recovery will depend on how prices and whale balances evolve together. For now, traders are watching whether XRP can hold $1.20, move through $1.30 and eventually reclaim $1.50 while the reported accumulation trend continues.
