LUNC Ecosystem Targets Deeper Liquidity With Wrapped Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tokenized Gold

Terra Luna Classic (LUNC)

LUNC News: Juris Protocol Targets $30,000 in Liquidity for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Gold Markets

Juris Protocol and LUNCswap.fun are expanding Terra Classic’s decentralized finance ecosystem with three new trading markets for wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), wrapped Ethereum (WETH), and tokenized gold through PAX Gold (PAXG). The initiative sets an initial liquidity target of $10,000 for each pool, bringing the combined goal to $30,000 as the projects seek to attract traders, liquidity providers, and potential institutional market-making partners.

According to Juris Protocol’s October 22 community announcement, the new markets use assets sourced from Ethereum and bridged to Terra Classic through Hyperlane infrastructure. The project says the listings are part of a broader effort to connect Terra Classic with established crypto assets and tokenized real-world assets rather than relying exclusively on activity surrounding LUNC.

LSF Exchange Adds Three Markets to Terra Classic

The three markets are WBTC/USDC, WETH/USDC, and PAXG/USDC. They are deployed on LUNCswap.fun Exchange infrastructure and can be explored through Vyntrex, while further exchange interface integration and simplified liquidity-provisioning features are planned, according to the announcement.

Juris and Bumeo Capital aim to contribute 30% to 50% of each pool’s initial $10,000 target. The remaining 50% to 70% is expected to come from community members and participating liquidity providers. Across all three markets, that translates to an initial ecosystem contribution of $9,000 to $15,000, with the community expected to help supply the remaining $15,000 to $21,000.

The project says it wants to demonstrate measurable liquidity and trading activity before approaching professional market makers for larger commitments. Reaching $10,000 per pool would provide an initial benchmark, but that amount alone would not guarantee deep markets, low slippage, or sustained trading volume.

The new listings also introduce different types of asset exposure to Terra Classic. WBTC is designed to represent Bitcoin on another blockchain, WETH represents Ether in wrapped form, and PAXG is a token backed by gold. Their usefulness on Terra Classic depends on the reliability of their underlying arrangements, bridge infrastructure, liquidity, and the markets in which they trade.

Juris Plans a Broader Lending and DeFi Ecosystem

Juris Protocol and LSF Exchange are being developed to serve complementary roles. LSF focuses on decentralized trading and liquidity, while Juris is building decentralized lending and borrowing markets. The team says WBTC, WETH, and PAXG could eventually become collateral candidates on Juris, subject to risk assessments, oracle support, liquidity requirements, and protocol approval.

If supported assets become eligible collateral, users could potentially borrow USDC against their holdings without selling them. However, this remains a future possibility described by the project, not confirmation that all three assets are currently accepted for lending.

Juris also says its JURIS staking model is designed to distribute eligible protocol revenue to stakers. Greater market activity could create additional fee opportunities, although staking distributions will depend on actual revenue, protocol rules, and the development of supporting products.

The broader roadmap includes additional tokenized financial assets, USDC trading infrastructure, cross-chain connectivity through Hyperlane and Inter-Blockchain Communication, and a self-custodial LSF Wallet. These plans are intended to give Terra Classic users more ways to access markets and decentralized financial services.

Liquidity providers should still account for impermanent loss, asset-price volatility, smart-contract vulnerabilities, and cross-chain bridge risks before depositing funds. Wrapped assets and tokenized gold also introduce dependencies beyond the Terra Classic network itself.

For the LUNC ecosystem, the immediate test is whether the three markets can attract sustained participation and reach their initial liquidity targets. Juris and LSF are positioning community contributions as the first step toward larger partnerships, but actual liquidity, trading volume, and long-term utility will determine whether the strategy gains traction.
