UEX US Adds VET Trading and Savings
VeChain’s VET token has been added to UEX US, giving users on the platform new ways to trade, hold and use their VeChain holdings. The exchange announced the listing through its official account, positioning VET as more than a simple trading asset.
The addition allows UEX users to buy and sell VET while also holding the token within the platform. This gives VeChain holders another U.S.-focused venue through which they can access the asset without relying on a separate wallet for every activity.
One of the more notable features is UEX’s Savings Rewards programme. The exchange advertises a 4.5% annual rate on crypto balances, with rewards credited daily and no lock-up period. UEX says the rate is variable and can change with market conditions.
For VET holders, the difference is important because the offering combines trading access with a potential yield component. Users do not need to stake VET on the VeChain network to participate in the advertised savings programme, according to UEX’s announcement.
The exchange also says VET can be used as collateral for loans. UEX announced that users can borrow up to 90% of the value of their VET holdings, allowing them to access liquidity without immediately selling the underlying tokens.
VET Gains Another Utility Layer
The borrowing feature adds a different dimension to the listing. Instead of selling VET to raise funds, eligible users can potentially use their holdings as collateral while maintaining exposure to the asset. The actual terms, eligibility requirements and applicable rates remain important considerations for borrowers.
UEX’s broader lending model is based on crypto-backed loans and over-collateralization. Its savings programme says enrolled crypto assets can help generate revenue through internal trade matching, native staking for selected proof-of-stake assets and over-collateralized lending.
The platform is also offering VET holders additional incentives tied to UEXC, its platform token. According to the announcement, deposited VET counts toward a user’s weekly UEXC share and qualifies for the platform’s stated 5% Monday cashback programme.

The timing gives VeChain another development to watch as VET trades near $0.008. Market data showed VET around $0.0079 on September 14, after recovering from a September 11 close near $0.0073.
However, the UEX listing should not automatically be interpreted as a bullish price signal. A new trading venue can improve accessibility and potentially add liquidity, but the effect on VET’s price will depend on actual trading activity, user adoption and broader market conditions.
For the VeChain community, the more meaningful point may be the expansion of VET’s financial utility. Trading, savings and collateralized borrowing put the token into several different financial use cases within one platform.
UEX is therefore giving VET holders an additional way to interact with their assets without immediately converting them back into fiat. That could appeal to long-term holders who want to maintain exposure while gaining access to liquidity or yield opportunities.

The move also fits a wider trend in crypto markets, where exchanges are increasingly combining spot trading with lending and yield products. UEX itself says its Savings Rewards rates are variable, assets remain liquid and the programme carries market, lending and other risks rather than functioning like a traditional insured bank deposit.
For VET, the UEX US launch adds another layer to the token’s market presence. Whether it becomes a meaningful source of new demand will depend on how many users actually trade, save and borrow against VET, but the listing gives VeChain holders more options than simple buy-and-hold exposure.
