Ripple has introduced Ripple Mint, a new institutional platform designed to simplify how businesses mint, redeem, manage, and integrate its Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin. The launch marks another step in Ripple’s broader strategy to position RLUSD as a regulated digital dollar for payments, treasury management, trading, and decentralized finance.

According to Ripple, the new platform allows institutions to access RLUSD through both a web-based interface and programmatic APIs, enabling organizations to automate stablecoin operations while maintaining the regulatory standards expected by enterprise customers. Ripple says Ripple Mint is now available to existing RLUSD customers.

Ripple Mint Brings Automation to RLUSD Operations

Ripple said Ripple Mint was developed to meet the needs of institutions that require more than manual stablecoin management. While customers have previously been able to access RLUSD through existing platforms, Ripple noted that large-scale financial institutions increasingly require automation, real-time reporting, and seamless integration with their internal systems.

The platform allows users to mint and redeem RLUSD directly from the issuer while also supporting cross-chain transfers between supported blockchain networks. Institutions can monitor transactions throughout the entire minting and redemption process, providing greater operational transparency from fiat settlement through on-chain issuance.

Ripple has also introduced new APIs and webhook notifications that allow customers to integrate RLUSD workflows directly into treasury systems, payment infrastructure, and financial applications. Businesses can programmatically check account balances, monitor transaction status, initiate redemption requests, and receive real-time notifications as transactions progress through each stage.

Each transaction is linked through consistent reference identifiers, making it easier for institutions to reconcile fiat payments with blockchain settlements while reducing reliance on manual processes.

Ripple says these capabilities are intended to support exchanges, market makers, fintech firms, payment providers, and institutional customers that require scalable digital dollar infrastructure.

Ripple Expands RLUSD Across Multiple Blockchain Networks

Alongside the launch of Ripple Mint, Ripple continues expanding RLUSD beyond its original deployment on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. The company says the stablecoin’s multichain strategy reflects the growing demand for digital dollars across decentralized finance and institutional financial infrastructure.

Recent expansions include deployments on XRPL EVM Sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain, allowing RLUSD to operate across multiple blockchain ecosystems while maintaining close ties to the XRP Ledger.

Ripple describes the XRPL EVM Sidechain as a key component of its long-term strategy because it combines Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility with the XRP Ledger ecosystem. This allows developers to build using familiar Ethereum tools while supporting liquidity and activity connected to XRPL.

According to Ripple, wider blockchain availability will increase RLUSD’s use across cryptocurrency exchanges, payment applications, lending protocols, decentralized finance platforms, and emerging tokenized financial markets.

The company also highlighted the complementary relationship between XRP and RLUSD. As RLUSD adoption grows across multiple networks, Ripple expects XRP to play an increasing role in liquidity provisioning, settlement, collateral management, token swaps, and cross-border payments.

Ripple emphasized that RLUSD is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, LLC, a New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS)-chartered trust company, providing the regulatory oversight that many institutional customers require.

The launch of Ripple Mint reflects Ripple’s broader vision of stablecoins evolving into core financial infrastructure rather than simply digital representations of fiat currencies. By combining regulated issuance, multichain availability, automation, and enterprise-grade APIs, Ripple is positioning RLUSD as a platform designed for institutional adoption as demand for blockchain-based financial services continues to grow.
